I was very happy to have been able to review this book. Robin Sharma is a Toronto-based self-improvement and management consultant that is very well-known internationally.

He’s actually a very interesting guy and has built up quite a fan base all around the world.  If you check his speaking schedule on his site, you’ll see he’s always booked.  His articles were always one of my favorite things to read on his site.

Robin has written several books now and many come with very catchy titles, like the “monk” series.  But aside from having really good book titles, Robin also has some really good content in those books. I have already read this book’s predecessor, which is called: The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, so let me give you some back-ground.

These fiction books are about a fast-living lawyer that goes to live with monks in the Himalayas to seek enlightenment after a sudden heart attack. Now, he’s returned, long flowing robes and all, in order to spread the word to friends of what he’d learned about visionary leadership in business and success in life.

The story line shares certain rituals about this success. In the first few rituals you’ll learn how to make your workplace a better place to be. What good does it do your company if everyone hates you and the place they work? Trust me: It doesn’t help you. You might just find that your greatest resource is your people and this book could help you unlock their potential.

The rest of the rituals are about things to do for yourself, or change about yourself that will help you bring your operations to new levels. If you’ve read this far, then maybe this book has been brought to your attention just at the right time for you to be receiving it.

For the second time, the Manthey Racing team succeeded again as it won the 24 hour endurance race on the Nürburgring. Porsche drivers Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb along with Marcel Tiemann bested more than 200 racers with a one-lap advantage. The team players were driving their new Porsche 911 GT3 RSR that is well equipped with high performing parts like Porsche oxygen sensor.

In front of a crowd with 210,000 spectators, the success at the 35th edition of the long distance classic records the eighth victory for a Porsche. Run by Land Motorsport, the 911 GT3 RSR was in the third place behind the Dodge Viper of Zakspeed Racing.

After beginning from pole, the four Manthey Racing drivers set the speed right from the start. The weather condition was extremely challenging due to the combination of heat, rain and fog. But this did not hinder the team from winning. Bernhard, Dumas, Lieb and Tiemann were still in perfect driving condition. The Porsche 911 GT3 RSR that was developed and built in Weissach also finished its maiden race at the Nürburgring 24 hour endurance race without incurring any technical problems or flaws.

Hartmut Kristen, the pleased head of racing, said that the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR once again confirmed its potential because of its undeniable winning. He largely complements the efforts exerted by the Manthey Racing team who did a nice work. He commented that the four drivers turned quick laps at exactly the appropriate time. He further said that the team drivers were cautious just when the situation warranted it and this hugely contributed to the team’s winning again. He was very pleased that their drivers exuded characteristics of a great long distance pilot. He added that the Nürburgring means a lot to Porsche and that was because of all the Porsche teams who once again put the racing team one step higher.

Olaf Manthey, the team principal could hardly believe his fortune. According to him, before, he had first to wait for a really very long time to get what for him is the most important race all over the world. But now, their team won for the second consecutive year from pole position. He perceives the current victory as a wonderful gift for him as well as for his wife Renate for their silver wedding anniversary this weekend.

The story of the 2007 marathon will be marked in history as one of the most unusual races. The Eifel classic had to be delayed by almost two hours due to the anguishing rain fall. At 4:51 in the afternoon, the heavy rain stopped and so the race started. Then, at 3:54 in the morning, thick fog hindered the race. In effect, the race management was obliged to interrupt the event for about five-and-a-half hours. So the restart took place at 9:31 in the morning.

After the race, Timo Bernhard said that winning the Nürburgring 24 hour endurance race in two consecutive years is ‘a dream come true’. According to him, they managed to find a good set-up for the oddities of the Nordschleife in the Long Distance Championship. He was so grateful with the cooperation of the new 911 GT3 RSR that had not experience any problem, even a single or minor one, over the 24 hours.

Romain Dumas reacted that the event was amazing. He was particularly amazed by the fact that he have been racing on the Nordschleife for the third time now and he won the recent and one of the most important races around the world. He said that the track was one-of-a-kind and the unpredictable weather condition put a lot of pressure on them. He added that of his many experiences in the race, he would never forget his drive in thick fog during the night.

Marc Lieb was also definitely proud to have won the greatest race in Germany. He said that he secured class victory at the 24 hour events in Daytona and Le Mans and an overall victory at Spa. He considers the team’s success in the Nürburgring a very special one.

This was also Marcel Tiemann’s third time to hold the winners’ trophy on the podium of this 24 hour endurance race. He said that reliability and fast car are the requirements in winning the race. He complements the entire team for a job well done last weekend.

There are some important consideration to take into account when choosing the model of a car.

1. The cost of the car can be a deciding factor for many people. Smaller cars will cost less but they may not suit your needs. Different makes and models of car can also vary considerably in price. Choose a make and model which is within your price range. Discuss payment options with a reputable car dealership who will be able to arrange finance for you.

2. Although the cost may determine the size of the car you buy, consideration should also be given to interior space. Sit in different cars and check that there is sufficient head room, particularly if you or any other people who will be driving the car are exceptionally tall.

3. Make sure there is sufficient leg room once the seat has been adjusted for you to assume a comfortable driving position. Again this is particularly important if you are tall-equally smaller people will need to ensure that the seat can be adjusted forward sufficiently. Cars which have full adjustable seating-those which can be raised or lowered- can also provide more comfortable driving positions.

4. Many cars now have adjustable steering columns. As with the seating, adjusting the steering column by titling or bringing it forward may offer a more comfortable driving position.

5. Check that you have good all round vision. Blind spots can pose quite a hazard- by adjusting seats and side mirrors blind spots may be alleviated. Manufactures are very aware of this issue, as such new models are designed to reduce blind spots as much as possible.

6. Safety features are important factors on today’s busy roads. Check how many air bags the car has. Side impact protection is another option you may wish to give serious consideration to when deciding which car to buy. The majority of new models have both driver and front passenger airbags fitted as standard. If you have a baby chair which you prefer to have on the front seat check that the front passenger seat airbag can be immobilised. Follow both the car’s and the baby seat’s manufacture’s recommendations as to safety of baby chairs being used on front passengers seats.

7. Fuel economy plays an important part when deciding which car to buy. The latest smaller cars are extremely efficient and economical to run. Check or ask at the dealership how many miles per litre the car can be expected to perform when driven at optimum speeds and conditions.. Again, the manufactures are continually striving to make cars more fuel efficient. Buying the latest models offers you a more fuel efficient car in comparison to older models of the same size.

8. Small checks such as seeing if the seat belts can be adjusted to accommodate taller or shorter than average people-small aspects such as this can make the difference between being satisfied with your car or being continually irritated by it.

9. If you intend to keep the car in your garage it may be a good idea to see if it will actually fit! It’s surprising how small some garages are.

10. Always take new cars for a test drive. This will give you a good overall perception of its handling capabilities and performance before you make a final decision as to which new car to buy.
